Welcome to the Jamie’s Ranch blog, and the first of what we intend to be many blogs on our new web site, letting you know what goes on here at the ranch.
Being of a slightly older generation, this will be a new experience for me as I have never blogged before. To say I’m not a tech guy would be quite the understatement. However, my wife has decided this is my job, and as I’m soon to be retired from the SAFD…..I will comply and have some fun with it.
A word of warning …. while I constantly tell my grandkids I’m a genius, I’ve been told that I’m not near as funny or as smart as I think I am. Shocking!!
What I will try to do here a couple times a month, is tell you about our animals, improvements or changes made here at the ranch, future plans, etc.
We will at times, feature some of our groups and visitors since that is the reason Jamie’s Ranch exists after all. Some of our volunteers might make an occasional visit also.
Fall Season Coming Up
With that being said, Jamie’s Ranch is gearing up and getting ready for the fall season. We are now taking appointments for Sept. 15th on, and advise anyone planning on coming out in the fall to call ASAP, as we foresee a very busy year through the holidays. Sheri was on KSAT 12’s ‘SA Live’ on Sept. 4th and received numerous calls immediately after. She was on again on Sept. 11th, and the calls just kept coming. We hate to turn anyone away, but we never take more than 1 group a day and the available days fill up fast…. especially the weekends.
We look forward to seeing all our old friends and of course, making many new ones. So keep checking in with us, and we’ll talk to you soon.
