How Can You Help?

Wondering how can you help? Here are some very important ways below.

VOLUNTEER

Jamie’s Ranch is needing volunteers to work during our group field trips.  Nearly all our field trips occur during the weekdays between 9 a.m.- 2 p.m.  We do have some weekend birthday parties.  Volunteers must be able to interact with special needs kids and be comfortable around multiple species of animals.  The first step in volunteering is simply calling Sheri Mitzel at 830-570-6163.  We will set up a time for you to visit the ranch.

DONATE

How can you help by donating? Because Jamie’s Ranch is free for special needs kids and anyone that accompanies them, we do depend on donations to keep our program going.  Our biggest expense is feeding and caring for the animals.  You can donate through the following:

  • Donate through our website
  • Mail directly to Jamie’s Ranch.  Our address is 2700 CR 419, McCoy, Texas 78113
  • If you are visiting the ranch, we take cash, checks, and major credit cards.
  • “In-Kind Donations” which means we gladly accept donations of horse quality hay (both round and square bales) — also, alfalfa bales.
  • Animal feed (please call, and we can tell you what we use)
  • Supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and liquid hand soap.
  • Shop on Amazon Smile (smile.amazon.com).  They will contribute .5 percent of eligible purchases to Jamie’s Ranch for Special Kids.   On your first visit, log into your account with an existing password and username.  You will then be prompted to choose a charity to support.

We are a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization.  Your donations, including “in-kind”, are tax-deductible.  We will issue you a receipt.  Please provide us with the market value of your “in-kind” donation and an email or mailing address.
